My name is Hyunah (He-un-ah), owner and lead photographer. I have been professionally photographing Couples, Maternities, New Borns, and Families for 10 years .from the many different places I’ve called home (Korea, Boston, Kauai, and currently the San Francisco Bay Area). I feel an immense responsibility to capture the essence of my subjects as an imprint for future generations.

We chose Hyunah for our maternity photoshoot at 32 weeks (end of Sept 2020 during CA wildfires with bad air pollution & Covid-19), because not only did my husband & I like her photography style based on her site/Instagram/Yelp, she teams up with a makeup/hair artist and dress rental so I didn't have to worry about doing my own hair/makeup or buying dresses I wouldn't wear again (I really like the trains of the dresses that looked like they were floating in the air). The process to book Hyunah was straightforward via her website, and she was responsive and easy to talk to on what we had in mind via Zoom video conference.

Finally the photoshoot day arrived! Hyunah greeted us with a positive attitude and helped us calm down when we saw the park was not crowded, we could maintain social distance, Hyunah wore a mask and was very careful the entire time. My toddler liked Hyunah from the start so we got many pictures with him smiling and he behaved well most of the time. She facilitated the entire shoot very efficiently, carried and set-up all her equipment quickly, and gave great directions and tips for better shots. We NEVER felt rushed at any point in the shoot. Hyunah was very understanding and She kept everyone engaged and kept taking shots the entire three hours.

We hired Hyunah to take maternity and newborn photos for us. We were a little nervous given that we're in the middle of a pandemic, but Hyunah was very cautious with maintaining 6 feet distance and keeping on a mask. The final photographs we received were beautiful! I was so happy with how the maternity photos came out. Our newborn photos were in our home. Hyunah was very patient with us and our newborn's needs. She even waited for me to nurse our baby and did not rush us through the process at all. We're super happy that we had Hyunah capture these precious memories for us. We will definitely keep her in mind for future photography needs.
