Working Around Your Schedule
It can be challenging to set aside a set time to take photos for even just an hour with a newborn. That’s why we take special care around napping and feeding to make sure that you and your baby don't have to change the daily routine. The most important aspect of this session is that you and the baby are comfortable, which will always be a top priority! No matter what your schedule looks like, we are willing to work with you and help support your tiny human.
Booking Within Ten Weeks of Birth
Many people don’t know this, but the best time to photograph a newborn is within ten weeks of birth. Newborns are best photographed in the beautiful, snug positions where they are sleeping, which begins to happen less as they grow older. It can be harder to keep your tiny human comfortable and available for photos once they are older than ten weeks. We can speak from experience on this one!
The earlier you book your newborn session, the better! It is hard to capture this unique stage of their life after ten weeks have passed. We also know how hard it might be to find time to go into a studio. With these crazy times, many people don’t want to go through the effort of going into a studio when they could be safe at home. That’s why you can save yourself a trip and let us come to you to photograph your precious new baby!
Keeping Everyone Safe
We will arrive with all the safety precautions prepared. Masks will be worn, and flashing lights will not be involved in your in-home newborn session.
To help your newborn, we make sure to use continuous lighting. Not only is it more pleasant, but it can be more comforting for everyone involved. Your baby will be cozier under this lighting rather than enduring the sensation of intermittent flashes.
Props You Already Use
Instead of bringing the odd and out-of-place props into your home, we work with what you have around you. We love capturing the family in their home, which means we want you to feel like the photos reflect the items you use regularly.
Your baby’s favorite toy, book, or clothes can give your newborn photos of the personal touch you are looking for. These items are significant and mean something to you, which is why they are great additions to your newborn photos. We want you to have fond memories of every image we create of this moment for your family.
Natural, Not Posed

We want to see you with your baby on the couch, smiling and laughing. We love candid moments! They are what make in-home sessions magical, and we enjoy being able to capture these precious moments for you to remember. Natural and raw moments of joy are the best photos to capture.
The best part is that we will spend a few hours with you to capture you around your home. We will go where you feel most home, find the right shot, and capture photos that we know will make you smile. If you want to be on the bed or on your couch, we will find where you feel best to create a natural scene for your photos. Capturing newborns with in-home sessions presents true magic that isn’t entirely recreated in other settings.
Our Newborn Package
Our newborn package offers you the proper time, beautiful images, and the resources you need to have a great session and make memories to last you a lifetime. For a total of two hours, our team will come to your home and take photos on location. Wherever you would like to be photographed, we can help and accommodate you, as well as your newborn baby’s needs!
Following this session, we will edit and provide you a private online gallery with all High-Resolution Digital Images for you to keep. You can plus pick fifteen of the best images for an additional photoshop retouch.
